Colonel: Marine, what is that button on your body armor?
Joker: A peace symbol, sir.
C: Where did you get it?
J: I don't remember, sir.
C: What is that written on your helmet?
J: 'Born to kill', sir.
C: You put 'born to kill' on your helmet and wear a peace button. What is that supposed to be, some kind of sick joke?
J: No, sir.
C: What is it suppose to mean?
J: I don't know, sir.
C: You don't know very much. Do you?
J: No, sir.
C: You better put your ass wired together or I will shit on you!
J: Yes, sir.
C: Answer my question or you'll stand tall before the Man.
J: I think I was trying to suggest something about the duality of man, sir.
C: The what?
J: The duality of man. The Jungian thing, sir.
C: .........Whose side are you on?
J: Our side, sir.
C: Don't you love your country?
J: Yes, sir.
C: How about getting with the program. Jump on the team and come in for the big win.
J: Yes, sir.
C: Son, all I ever ask from my marines is for them to obey my orders as they would the word of God. We are here to help the Vietnamese, because inside every gook there is an American, trying to get out. Its a hardball world, son.
Este fim-de-semana aproveitei para rever 'la chaqueta metalica'; este diálogo é fantástico. Às vezes não temos espaço para dúvidas, nem há referendos.
